I was on my way to an appointment in Stonewall yesterday in the new, exquisite Ashley Acres subdivision. Immediately after taking the Stonewall/Frierson exit, I couldn't help but notice the construction of a new Chevrolet dealership that appears to be near completion. The official name of the new establishment will be Marketplace Chevrolet Buick. I've since learned that the General Motors dealership has deep roots in North Desoto Parish. Stonewall is rapidly growing into a much sought-after location just seven miles south of Shreveport along I-49.
