    Take the whole family down for a nice day to the Broadmoor Duck Pond. The ponds that make up this park span for nearly three miles from Shreveport-Barksdale Highway to E. 70th Street. The main park is located just north of Preston Avenue. Here you will find picnic tables, covered pavilions that play host to birthday parties and reunions, multiple playgrounds, and of course, the local ducks that call these ponds home.

    If you're looking for a great local sandwich shop, then Rollin' In The Dough is Broadmoor's diamond in the rough. Located on Captain Shreve Drive, this amazing little shop has been satisfying hungry meal goers for years! With a large menu, amazing waffle fries, and southern style sweet tea, it's no wonder that this place is packed every day for lunch! This is one of my favorites!

    It's almost Mardi Gras season! This year the parade schedule will be the Krewe of Centaur on Saturday, January 30th, and the Krewe of Gemini will be on Saturday, February 6th. Both of these parades end in Broadmoor coming down E. Kings Avenue and the parade finishing at Preston Avenue. Such a fun season; can't wait! Throw me something mister!
