    From beautiful spring to frisky fall, beautiful downtown Covington hosts family-friendly block parties on the last Friday of each month. This event is held along the 200-500 blocks of Columbia Street from 6:30-9:30 pm. It is a free event for the public.

    Shops and galleries stay open late, there are classic cars on display, there is either live music or DJ provided entertainment, plus food and drinks from local restaurants and vendors- a little something for everyone! This is a great way to kick off the warmest time of the year, a fun start to the weekend, and an upbeat, exciting way to end each month!

    Despite the weather, Northshore's version of "White Linen Night" was a success. For the second year, residents of Covington gathered in the streets of downtown to close out the season of wearing white with a bang! Local art galleries, vendors, and restaurants set up shop along Columbia Street as patrons strolled enjoying the local culture! I enjoyed most of the evening in the courtyard of the fascinating Southern Hotel where I was served fresh cocktails from their very own Cypress Bar.
