    The Freret Neighborhood is a subdistrict of the Uptown New Orleans area. It's north, east, south, and west boundaries (respectively) are South Claiborne Avenue, Napoleon Avenue, LaSalle Street, and Jefferson Avenue. In recent years, the Freret Street Corridor has undergone many transformations to provide a safe place for New Orleanians to live, work, and play.

    Freret Street is lined with many must-visit places. My personal favorites are Liberty Cheesesteak, Dat Dog, and Kehoe Automotive. It is also the home of Freret Market, a combination art/farmers/ flea market. The market is open on the first Saturday of every month, at the corner of Jena Street and Freret Street.
