    Carter Plantation Subdivision
As a resident of the Carter Plantation subdivision for over five years, I have fallen in love with its soaring pines, moss dripping live oaks, the wildlife of our cypress wetlands, and my friendly neighbors. It is a premier golf community on the first David Toms Signature course of 18 holes. The rolling fairways are beautifully manicured and the neighborhood is well maintained via the active and strong Homeowner's Association. The location is very accessible and close to I-12, I-55, Ponchatoula and Hammond. It is equal distant between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, lying in Livingston Parish and in the coveted Springfield School District.

Being a well established neighborhood, the landscaping is well maintained and mature. However, there is much growth in new home construction and lots available including waterfront properties.

There are many amenities to enjoy with the Clubhouse, the Plantation Dining Room and Bar, Pro Golf shop and golf practice range. They host golf tournaments, business meetings, and have a beautiful wedding venue. On a typical sunny LA day, you will find many enjoying a splash in the community pool and people biking or walking with their families. If you enjoy boating, fishing and water activities, the Tickfaw and Blood Rivers and Lake Maurepas are only 5 minutes away. Also nearby is the Tickfaw State Park.

Throughout the year, there are many events for all to enjoy such as block parties, Trunk or Treat at Halloween, Egg Hunts at Easter, and Mystery Dinners at the Plantation Dining Room just to name a few. So rather you are ready to retire and relax, begin your family or somewhere in between, Carter Plantation offers something for everyone to enjoy. It truly is a beautiful place to call home.
