The Louisiana State Cotton Museum, located in Lake Providence, is a wonderful tribute to one of Louisiana's major agricultural attributes. Well known throughout the Delta, the Louisiana State Cotton Museum is highlighted by several exhibits, which include farming equipment, a life-sized juke joint and dioramas depicting life in the South. The museum itself is a replica gin house, where cotton was ginned or separated from the seed. There is also a variety of old plantation buildings and a small chapel on the grounds of the museum.
