Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center is the place to go for off-the-beaten path films. It's a really neat venue with large comfy chairs to relax in while you enjoy a documentary film projected onto a large screen. Admission is usually $6-$10. Drinks and snacks are also sold for you to enjoy during the movie. Zeitgeist also hosts other events, including book fairs and audience discussions about the films that are shown. The venue also houses an art gallery and Church Alley Coffee Shop.

While a vegan restaurant may not appeal to many people, especially in New Orleans where we eat just about anything, Seed is on the forefront of exposing the dining public to a new way of eating. Seed's mission is to use the most local, organic ingredients. Although I am a meat eater, every meal that I've had at Seed has been fantastic. The modern/industrial decor, the super friendly staff, and the tasty, healthy dishes make Seed a unique dining experience you shouldn't miss.
  • There is so much exciting new development in this area! Businesses joining longtime anchors Cafe Reconcile, Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center and the Ashe Cultural Arts Center, include the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (NOJO)'s, New Orleans Jazz Market, and Jack & Jake's Public Market.

Grab lunch or dinner at Casa Borrega with authentic Mexican food brought to you by the proprietor Hugo Montero who hails from Mexico City. Get your coffee on across the street at Church Alley, which is inside Zeitgeist. And be on the lookout for a restaurant by Adolfo Garcia!
  • The Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard Corridor (OCH) is a happening place! Be a part of the renaissance! Come visit us at the popular Church Alley Coffee Bar where the coffee is good and strong and dogs are welcome! People too!
